It was the most hyped episode of reality TV in years, something so controversial the show went on hiatus and was rumored to potentially not return.
And it only scored an extra 100K viewers.
Sunday was the Keeping Up With The Kardashians episode dealing with Kim Kardashian West‘s Paris robbery, and with the ratings for the once huge cable hit slowing way down, we were curious if the controversy would give the show a shot in the arm.

It did, a little, as the episode was up from last week’s premiere numbers of 1.48 million to 1.58 million viewers.
That’s a bigger jump than it seems as last season’s second episode dropped 29% from the premiere; episode 1302 actually climbed about 7%, unusual for the second episode of a season.
Still, KUWTK is clearly past its heyday if 1.58 mil is all they can muster with all that buildup.
