She makes a great point!
Laverne Cox stopped by The Talk on Tuesday and talked a bit about Caitlyn Jenner‘s transition and how it’s impacted the transgender community so far!

In the past, Cox has been very supportive of Jenner’s transition, even praising the Olympian’s ESPYS award speech!
She was also thrilled to finally meet her at a special advanced screening of I Am Cait, where she snapped a picture with her (above).
Well now Cox has more great things to say about the reality star! After talking about how Jenner’s story is a bit different than hers, she stressed the importance of having different representations of various experiences within the transgender community. She said:
“It’s not about positive representation or negative representation, but diverse representation. When I think about Caitlyn’s story it’s so very different from mine. I transitioned in my 20s. Working class. Black.”
The Orange is the New Black star went on to comment on Jenner by saying:
“I think what is so beautiful is that she’s using her privilege to elevate the stories of other trans folks that don’t have the privilege that she does.
We think it’s fantastic too! It’s always great to see celebrities use their positions to help bring awareness and promote great causes!
