The fires of their now infamous feud might have been fueled back in October, but tonight, we’ll get to hear what Mariah Carey had to say about Nicki Minaj!
With American Idol’s premiere in just one week, Mimi is speaking out yet again on that oh so fateful day where Nicki allegedly said she’d “shoot that bitch!”
When Barbara Walters asked Mariah about that incident in particular, she stated:
“It felt like an unsafe work environment. Anytime anybody’s reeling threats at somebody, you know, it’s not appropriate. I’m a professional. I’m not used to that type of environment.”
Though it seems Mariah and Nicki have since made up, Mz. Carey still stands by her decision to have hired extra security, calling it the “appropriate thing to do.”
As for Mariah’s hopes for the show, with all the dramz included?
Carey continued:
├óΓé¼┼ôFor all the drama, I hope it helps the show. I think it’s a classic, classy show and it didn’t need this. For me, ultimately, this is about the kids, the contestants.├óΓé¼┬¥
Mariah also mentioned that she now wants to help someone else live out their dream, just as she has with her career!
