Maroon 5 Now Wants The Rolling Stones To Perform With Them At The Super Bowl Halftime Show!

Adam Levine is still planning to make Maroon 5’s Super Bowl halftime performance one for the books!
While efforts to woo Cardi B and Outkast’s Big Boi into performing with the band at next month’s event didn’t pan out, the Girls Like You performers seemingly enlisted Travis Scott to help make their performance a bit more current.
But Kylie Jenner’s baby daddy isn’t the only trick Levine has up his sleeve tattoo.

According to a Hollywoodlife source, the band is hoping to “change the conversation” by enlisting The Rolling Stones to perform with them, too, dishing:

“So many artists  — especially those in the hip hop community — don’t want to do a free show for the NFL after all the Colin Kaepernick fallout and controversy. All this is well documented and known but Adam feels that he has an ace up his sleeve to change the conversation and has invited The Rolling Stones to join them.”

Levine apparently feels that singing Moves Like Jagger with Mick Jagger himself would be a great opportunity for both bands, as the insider explained:

“Everyone knows Maroon 5’s monster hit, Moves Like Jagger so the idea from Adam came very easily to have them perform it with Mick and the gang. Adam would love to have a few other Stones classics be played on top of that. Adam feels that it would be great to get the Stones to a newer audience and it would clearly help their tour as it also would be a dream come true for Maroon 5 to perform with such icons.”

If there’s one thing young audiences like, it’s watching their mom’s favorite band perform with their dad’s favorite band?
But don’t get excited for a Lavine-Jagger experience just yet, because it’s not totally set in maroon. The source continued:

“They have asked and nothing is at all confirmed, but Adam is really pulling for it and hopes that Mick and Keith and the band will say yes. Either way they are expecting a confirmation or a denial from the Stones in the next week because as everyone knows we are getting dangerously close to the game and Maroon 5 has to lock down their set.”

So far, the Sicko Mode rapper has been the “only” artist who has agreed to join the band on stage — a decision he’s now apparently getting backlash for amid the undying controversy surrounding Kaepernick and the National Anthem protest.
The insider explained:

“Maroon 5 and Adam Levine are trying to make their halftime show for the Super Bowl as awesome as possible, but they have not been having much luck getting anyone to join them on stage. Travis Scott is the only person that has told them he will help out and even Travis is getting heat and backlash from fellow artists for putting himself on stage.”

Will Maroon 5 be able to pull this off in the fourth quarter? We’ll find out when the band takes the stage on February 3 at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
