Damned if they do, damned if they… actually, it probably would’ve been better if these two kept silent. It’s what they’re good at!
Ivanka Trump and Melania Trump felt the icy blast of social media on Thursday after sending out tweets commemorating Black History Month.
The First Daughter received the bulk of the criticism for name dropping “sojourners for freedom” like Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a tweet that ended with a call to bring opportunity for “all Americans, regardless of race or background.”

The message was ripe with material to poke fun at, like Vank not knowing what the word “sojourner” means and her need to cap off the Black History tweet on an implied #AllLivesMatter note.
While FLOTUS’s simpler tweet wasn’t roasted quite as hard, even she couldn’t escape responses of the “Have you know your husband?” variety.
See the outraged and funny responses to both tweets (below)!
During #BlackHistoryMonth, we celebrate heroes like Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who were sojourners for freedom – and we resolve to continue to bring greater equality, dignity, and opportunity to all Americans, regardless of race or background.

Maybe tag your father, I don’t think he knows…

Did Ivanka just make #BlackHistoryMonth about ALL Americans? What is wrong with her? Plus, did she use “sojourners” in the correct context ├░┼╕┬ñΓÇ¥

And she has NO idea what the word “sojourner” means, clearly. A sojourner is a person who resides temporarily in a place. I have two more words for @IvankaTrump to learn: hypocrisy and racism.

Unless they live in Puerto Rico. Right Ivanka??

Your dad is a racist that thinks White Supremacists are very fine people.
You are complicit.
So thanks for your tweet, but honestly, you can keep that shit for yourself.

History basically repeated itself in the responses to Mel’s tweet:
Today marks the start of #BlackHistoryMonth Let this be a time to come together in a celebration of diversity.
— Melania Trump (@FLOTUS) February 1, 2018
Have you met your husband?
— Matt (@Vanalli) February 2, 2018
Thank you, Mrs Trump. Please beat this message into your husband. He’s the ring leaders of pretty much everyone who does not want to celebrate diversity.

Let’s start by acknowledging Michelle Obama who writes the best speeches.

No Black History Month tweets from Donald Trump this week — surprise, surprise — but he did throw shade at JAY-Z, if that counts for anything:
Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!

THAT’S OUR PRESIDENT!
