Duran Duran Gets The First Ever Video Visionary Award At The 2015 MTV EMAs!

Duran Duran made history at the 2015 MTV EMAs!
On Sunday, the English band took the stage in Milan to receive the show’s first-ever Video Visionary Award! The legendary rockers were totally honored to be the original recipients of the new prize.
The guys were humbled by the recognition, but it was totally deserved! After all, the group was HUGE in the ’80s, and one of the leading bands in MTV’s “Second British Invasion!”
Not to mention, they recently released a NEW album, Paper Gods, featuring a collaboration with none other than Lindsay Lohan!
They also teamed up with artists like Janelle Monáe, Mark Ronson, Kiesza, Nile Rodgers, Mr. Hudson, Jonas Bjerre from Mew, and ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante for the project!
Frontman Simon Le Bon was completely grateful to Warner Bros. when receiving the award, and thanked the label for its continued belief in the boys’ sound!
Congratulations to the music icons! And we’re excited to see who else will join Duran Duran as future winners of the Video Visionary Award!
And be sure to check out their acceptance speech (below)!!!
