Looks like a group of fishermen almost needed a bigger boat offshore of Rockaway Beack, New York!
Steve Fernandez and his buddies were fishing when they spotted a 10-foot great white shark toward the stern of the boat! Who needs Quinn to catch the elusive great white when you have Steve!
Then the fishermen accidentally reeled in an 80-pound baby great white shark, which they then tagged, and released back into open waters as per NOAA’s “catch and release” regulations!
Uh oh, that baby is going to grow up though! And he’ll remember! His vengeance shall be swift!
Just kidding, the tagging is to keep track of these magnificent nautical beasts!
But wait…these guys also caught blue sharks too! Whoa, looks like the entire cast of Deep Blue Sea made a guest appearance!
According to Steve, the baby great white was 3 inches from his face! Talk about great selfie range!
