With starring roles in the upcoming X-Men and Star Wars films, it’s safe to say that Oscar Isaac is a bona fide movie star.
But the 37-year-old actor made it clear he has no interest in being identified as a star of any variety!
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, The Force Awakens star actor opened up about the passionate fan base he accumulated over the past year after being dubbed by bloggers as “the Internet’s boyfriend” — a title that Isaac isn’t expecting to last long.

He quipped:

“The Internet never struck me as being into monogamous relationships. It’s very promiscuous, the Internet.”

While the in-demand actor has plenty of roles coming up, Isaac said that his obligations for filming Star Wars sequels have his career “mapped out for quite some time.” He added:

“I’m basically Star War-ring until 2020.”

As for Episode VIII, Isaac revealed “there’s a lot more to do” for the three heroes — incuding his starfighter pilot Poe, Daisy Ridley‘s Rey, and John Boyega‘s Finn — explaining:

“What happens now is the heroes get tested. All three of them get tested immensely…BB-8 gets tested too! Everybody gets tested! It’s the dark second chapter, but not really dark.”

Touching on embracing his identity as a Latino actor with a Cuban father and Guatemalan mother, Isaac knows there are family members who want him “to kind of carry the torch.”

As for his thoughts on Donald Trump, Isaac confirms the rise of the presumptive republican nominee is “definitely irritating,” but hopes there’s a silver lining in it for the Latin culture, elaborating:

“The problem is it’s less about the guy that’s saying it, and more that he’s being the mouthpiece for a large part of the population. Because that’s me, that’s my family. We’re immigrants. What could be positive about it is that Trump could help to rally a lot of disparate parts of Latin America together. Because Latino is not a race ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ it’s a culture. There’s Chinese Latinos, there’s very white Latinos, there’s very dark Latinos, there’s black Latinos. There’s all sorts of variants ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ it’s not one thing.”

Okay, now we totally get why he’s the internet’s boyfriend! We are in love!
