Pakistani Game Show Prizes Are BABIES!

pakistani game show baby prizes orphans sad

You want controversy? Look no further than Pakistan’s newest gameshow, where the prize you win is a real life human baby!

What the what??

Orphaned infants are being given away as PRIZES on this new game show, Aman Ramazan, which is obvi creating a HUGE split between those who are happy that these children are no longer orphans, and those who think these human beings are being treated like objects!

The biggest thing here is that normal adoption is a long process for a good reason — families are vetted thoroughly before they’re able to bring a child home, and it seems like this game show just skips a lot of that very important step. Plus, how will these kids feel when they grow up? Like they were just some trophy to be won or lost?

Here’s footage from the game show below!

But, that’s not all…Here’s what an expert with Human Rights Watch said:

├óΓé¼┼ôGetting children out of institutions and into families who will provide good care for them is critical. I think probably what triggers the [negative] gut response for people is that, on its face, giving a baby away on a game show doesn’t sound like a process of careful determination of what’s in a child’s best interest.├óΓé¼┬¥

Here’s an interesting fact: people who think this is crazy or wrong are in the MINORITY online! They see it as these children finding homes, getting out of orphanages and loneliness!

The show is described like this:

‘The show airs for seven hours a day during the month of Ramadan in front of a live studio audience of 500-plus, has been likened to ├óΓé¼┼ôThe Price Is Right,├óΓé¼┬¥ awarding prizes such as refrigerators, microwaves and motorcycles to people who correctly answer questions about the Quran. Now host Aamir Liaquat Hussain has been able to add babies to that list of rewards, so far giving away two infant girls to two unsuspecting couples.’

Here’s what one of the men behind the idea says about it, Ramzan Chhipa of the Chhipa Welfare Association:

“Our team finds babies abandoned on the street, in garbage bins—some of them dead, others mauled by animals. So why not ensure the baby is kept alive and gets a good home? We didn’t just give the baby away. We have our own vetting procedure. This couple was already registered with us and had four or five sessions with us.

“These are the disenfranchised babies that grow up to be street kids and used for suicide bombing attacks. We have tried to show an alternative. Telling people to take these kids off the rubbish on the streets, raise them and make them a responsible citizen, not to destroy society through terrorism. We’ve created a symbol of peace and love, that’s our show’s theme├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥to spread love. I’m setting an example, giving a childless couple an abandoned child.├óΓé¼┬¥

Another newborn will be given away on the show within the week!

How do U guys feel about this? Is it so black and white, or can you see both sides? Let us know!
