Papa John Steps Down As CEO After Accidentally Making Company The Official Pizza Of White Supremacists

We guess Papa John’s is going to have to find “better ingredients” for their boardroom…
The pizza company announced on Thursday founder John Schnatter, AKA Papa John himself, will be stepping down as CEO after a recent slow patch, followed by some incendiary comments.
In case you hadn’t heard, Schnatter blamed slow business on the NFL not stopping the players from protesting police brutality by taking a knee during the National Anthem.

The sentiment was ridiculed by most of the public — but lauded by white supremacists who made Papa John’s the official pizza of their movement.
Not a good look. Shares have dropped another 13% in the seven weeks since he made his comments, costing Schnatter personally an estimated $84 million.
The company has not officially given the reason for Schnatter stepping down, but come on.
