If this is true, she needs to fire her new manager!
In an interview with the LA Times, David Sonenberg, Paula Abdul‘s manager whom just started working with her in June, dished on what’s next for the former Idol judge.
And since it’s not Idol, we don’t wanna hear about it!
Due to her many other offers, Paula’s priorities have been elsewhere as there have been “no discussions whatsoever about Idol,” says her manager – yet she would “never count anything out.”
But, shouldn’t you at least address the issue?!
├óΓé¼┼ôShe loves Idol. She feels she was a large part of the reason it is what it is,” Sonenberg says. “I can tell you her focus right now is speaking to all the other networks. The only one we haven├óΓé¼Γäót talked to, because of recent events, is Fox. But perhaps we would be speaking to Fox about shows in the near future.├óΓé¼┬¥
What a tease!
Although, she feels that they need to pay the piper as she is what makes the show!
“You can always tell when someone is really interested in you and not just going through the motions,” he adds. “That├óΓé¼Γäós clear with Paula. She├óΓé¼Γäós the kind of person who could be your best friend and mentor because she truly cares… When you look at the Idol situation, it was clear she cared about those kids, it was clear she wanted them to feel safe.├óΓé¼┬¥
We thought she just wanted to pop pills!
“She feels fabulous. She feels free,” he continues. “I think in some ways she was typecast in Idol and she was kind of restricted from doing anything she wanted to do and now she’s free to decide. She really is very excited about the future and that there’s support for her.”
And unless it’s all spin, Paula has been in talks with all of the other major networks, a few independent cable channels, major corporations and financiers and live entertainment businesses. Also in the works are possible book deals, clothing lines and cosmetics brands.
But, we wanna see the crazy in action!
├óΓé¼┼ôShe loves television. She has a number of exciting ideas, some of which are competitive, some of which are just theme-oriented,├óΓé¼┬¥ Sonenberg says. ├óΓé¼┼ôI think you├óΓé¼Γäóre going to be seeing a lot of Paula, sometimes as an executive producer, sometimes as a performer or mentor and sometimes as a creative developer.”
We would LOVE to see Paula as an executive producer/creative developer (AKA Bring back Paula’s reality show!!).
Her regular emotional outbursts always brings the LOLs!
