Perfume-Inspired Wine Hits The Market

Um, it’s happening.

Grappa distillery Mazzetti d’Altavilla is marketing wine in bottles that look like perfume bottles, and the scents are numbered like perfume. The line is called Essentia Vitae.

No 4 Ruche is jasmine-scented, No 6 Malvasia smells like rose and No 8 Moscato smells like violet.

Said Product Launch Analytics Director director Tom Vierhile:

“Essentia Vitae goes further than most to connect to female consumers. Its perfume-like packaging should break through the crowded product assortments that can often confound shoppers.”

This all sounds very fun and intriguing to us. Our one concern — we don├óΓé¼Γäót want to drink wine that tastes like perfume!!!
