It sure sounds like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have picked a wise place to reside — even temporarily — after their royal exit!
The couple is busy beefing up security around their new home to protect from paparazzi and other unwanted intruders. But even more notably, the Canadian island community of which they are now a part are in total support of their quest for privacy, too! This is great!

According to ET, a Canadian source reports Master Archie‘s parents have found a group of sympathetic and supportive residents in North Saanich, the small town in which they reside on Vancouver Island. Apparently, the city’s residents have “banded together” to protect the privacy of the royal couple in an effort to show solidarity — and to keep the place relatively calm, carefree, and quiet, as it’s always been.
The source further adds local businesses have even taken to fully ignoring messages from the media about the family after they were quickly “inundated” with requests for details about Harry and Meghan’s daily life. Many of the business owners in the community are reportedly “sympathetic” to the young couple’s wishes to live a “normal” private life after their much-maligned royal exit — and it sounds like the leering press is not welcome there to poke and prod around.
Must be nice to have great neighbors, eh?! Love those Canadians… always so polite and helpful!
Security Concerns Continue…
But while the town’s residents have been nothing but helpful, outsiders still nevertheless are trying to gain access to the parents’ new life — and that s**t ain’t cool!
TMZ is on the hunt, obtaining new photos that show the couple has seriously beefed up security around their new home on the island, installing a giant tarp to block part of a view, a new fence with a blacked-out front gate cover, and at least one security camera facing along the beach, apparently with a wandering lens.
The villa they’re residing in already had a high fence and some other security features, but at least part of the privacy fence has been re-built, and the security camera and tarp are definitely brand new, according to insiders. So, it would appear Harry and Meghan have been busy making their new Canadian life just how they want it.
Good for them, we say. They wanted to step out of public life with #Megxit, and here they are apparently getting their exact wish — with an amenable community around them, no less.
