Randy Jackson Takes Former Idol Under His Wing

The DAWG has a new deal.

Knowing that his American Idol gig won’t last forever, Randy Jackson has just launched his own record label, getting back to what he does best – producing.

DreamMerchant21 will be Randy’s first venture into dance music and to make the transition comfortable, his first signing was with an old friend – American Idol Season Two finalist, Kimberley Locke.

Of his new musical journey with dance music, Randy said:

“I feel compelled with the music that I am hearing in 2010 to start this kind of label. I want to make a difference within this genre and bring good energy and great music to all!”
