Reese Witherspoon & Ex-Hubby Ryan Phillippe Reunite To Celebrate Their Son Deacon's 17th Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Deacon Phillippe!

The only son of exes Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe just turned 17 years old and on Friday, he brought his famous parents back together for an intimate family gathering to celebrate his big milestone! Though the former Cruel Intentions co-stars separated back in 2006 after seven years of marriage, it’s nice to see the pair’s kids — including 21-year-old daughter Ava — always remain a priority.

Reese kicked things off with a special Instagram tribute to her “deeply kind” son, writing:

“Happy Birthday to my wonderful son @deaconphillippe! My bright light/ hardworking / fun-loving / music making / deeply kind son, who always finds the good in everyone and everything. What a pleasure to watch you grow into an amazing young man who is always curious and endlessly creative. Can’t wait to celebrate! I love you so much #17″

Aww! It truly is wonderful to see how handsome of a young man Deacon has grown up to be and we love the shot (below) his proud momma included with her message:

The real fun went down later that night though, when the Big Little Lies star, her ex-husband, and a small group of people gathered outdoors to serenade and present Deacon with a birthday cake. Ryan made sure to capture it all on his Instagram Story for followers to see!

As you’re likely aware, Witherspoon went on to marry Jim Toth in 2011 and they share 8-year-old daughter, Tennessee. Phillippe shares his 9-year-old daughter Kai with ex Alexis Knapp.
