Ricki Lake Is Getting Ready To Scare You Off Of Birth Control!

Oh whoa, this sounds pretty intense!
Ricki Lake is teaming up with her friend & documentary maker Abby Epstein to battle another issue that is important to them!
Birth control pills!!
The ladies are tackling the possibly unknown side-effects of the pills and what effect it has on women’s bodies!
They said:

“In the fifty years since its release, the birth control Pill has become synonymous with women’s liberation and has been thought of as some sort of miracle drug. But now it’s making women sick and so our goal with this film is to wake women up to the unexposed side effects of these powerful medications and the unforeseen consequences of repressing women’s natural cycles.”

WOW! Sounds like this issue is really important to them!
The pair teamed up for the documentary The Business of Being Born in 2008 which scared a BUNCH of people into doing home births as a result.
We wonder if the film will scare everyone off the pill!
We’ll just have to wait and see!
