A Hunter Gets Bullied On Twitter After Being SLAMMED By Ricky Gervais! Get The Deets HERE!

Ricky Gervais BLASTS a big game hunter on Twitter!
It’s not everyday that you hear about celebrities getting into Twitter feuds with big game hunters, but we guess today is just a rare exception!
While many people know Ricky Gervais as that funny British guy who used to host the Golden Globes, anyone who follows him on social media knows he’s a BIG advocate for protecting endangered wildlife!

Well the comedian took things to another level recently as he began posting pictures of the hunters themselves and calling them out on Twitter, and let’s just say they’re DEFINITELY feeling the heat!
A hunter named Rebecca Francis had several silly pictures of herself next to a dead giraffe, and Ricky re-posted the pic online, writing:

It didn’t take long until Rebecca was getting a TON of nasty tweets from animal lovers and conservationists alike.

However, Rebecca says she didn’t do anything wrong in killing the gentle giant! In fact, she says she was HELPING:

“When I was in Africa five years ago I was of the mindset that I would never shoot a giraffe. I was approached toward the end of my hunt with a unique circumstance. They showed me this beautiful old bull giraffe that was wandering all alone. He had been kicked out of the herd by a younger and stronger bull. He was past his breeding years and very close to death. They asked me if I would preserve this giraffe by providing all the locals with food and other means of survival. He was inevitably going to die soon and he could either be wasted or utilized by the local people. I chose to honor his life by providing others with his uses and I do not regret it for one second. Once he was down there were people waiting to take his meat. They also took his tail to make jewelry, his bones to make other things, and did not waste a single part of him. I am grateful to be a part of something so good.”

Hmmmm. That sounds nice and all, but as MANY tweeters have already pointed out, if the kill was done out of respect then why post a picture of yourself smiling next to its corpse???
What are you thoughts, readers?? Was Ricky in the wrong to call out Rebecca, or has she taken her hunting hobby too far?? Sound off in the comments below!!
