R. Kelly‘s logic has always been a little bit… off.
In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, the singer opened up on Bill Cosby‘s numerous sexual assault allegations and how he feels about the charges against the comedian. Needless to say, the sit down was all over the place and very R. Kelly.

What makes the confessional even more inneresting is Kelly’s past with child pornography.
For those who don’t remember, back in 2002 a videotape surfaced of the now 49-year-old reportedly engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl. While cops found additional images of the minor in R.’s home, 21 charges of child pornography were dropped in 2008 due to “reasonable doubt” stemming over the identities of the people in the video.
Essentially, the father was let off because a jury couldn’t tell for sure whether or not it was him in the heinous clip.
Considering the Chicago native’s background, GQ questioned him on Cosby’s innocence to which he replied:
“Well, my opinion on that is, I don’t know what happened.”
While the musician’s first answer stayed neutral, upon further inquiries he seemed to change his mind:
“When I look on TV and I see the 70-, 80-, 90-year-old ladies talking about what happened when they were 17, 18, or 19, there’s something strange about it. That’s my opinion. It’s just strange.”
Hmm, this seems to be a common defense of the actor. The issue of time seems to come up again and again!
The author elaborated on Bill’s recent charges and guilt, saying:
“But God would have to do that, because God is the only one can show me that. No man can tell me that. No woman can tell me that. And when you wait 70 years, 50 years, 40 years, to say something that simple, it’s strange. You know why I say that is because it happened to me, and it wasn’t true.”
Yup, this sounds like a very R. Kelly thing to say. Luckily a judge will be the one to show people whether or not the icon is in fact guilty of his alleged crimes.
To make the conversation even more complicated, Kelly discussed episodes of sexual abuse by a family member that took place when he was 7 and lasted until he was 15. The subject came up due to R.K.’s discussion of the sad topic in his memoir, Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me.
