Russell Brand At G20 Protests

The usually irreverent Russell Brand was spotted at the G20 protests in London today, Wednesday.
More than 2,000 protesters gathered at the Bank of England.
As these things usually go, a few folks lost their cool and ended up fighting with authorities waiting at the steps. Eleven people were arrested for impersonating police officers when the real police intercepted a mock up armored personnel carrier with several riders dressed in fake uniforms.
When questioned, Russell was reportedly uncharacteristically quiet regarding his intentions there.
He said: “[I’m here for] the same reason as everyone else. I’m just here participating. I’m here to observe and participate peacefully in the protest.”
Peacefully is the operative word!
