Ryan Seacrest Is Producing A New Show Called Squad Goals! But Is It About Taylor Swift?!

no title
It’s official — we now live in the age where a TV show can be sold with a single hashtag!
It’s been reported that Ryan Seacrest is producing a new comedy for CBS called Squad Goals!
Before you get too excited, the show isn’t going to be about the adventures of Taylor Swift & Co. (but srsly, why doesn’t THAT show exist?) but will instead follow a group of twentysomethings who met in college and realize it’s time to finally grow up!
The script for the multi-cam/hybrid series comes from comedians Aaron Karo and Lindsey Rosin — who co-produced stage musical versions of The O.C. and Cruel Intentions!

While this seems like a fun premise, Internet trending shows have yet to stick their mark on network TV.
ABC cancelled Emily Kapneck‘s 2014 comedy Selfie — which centered around a narcissistic, Instagram obsessed girl played by Karen Gillan — after barely one season due to low ratings.
And CBSSh*t My Dad Says, based on the popular Twitter account, didn’t fare much better.
But people are growing more and more addicted to smartphones and social media every day, so maybe this show will become a huge hit!
Either way, we hope the American Idol host is setting his #SquadGoals very high for this comedy!
