Selena Gomez Preps For First Live Performance In Over A Year Following Kidney Transplant!

selena gomez teases amas performance
Selena Gomez is gearing up for her musical comeback.
Despite dropping some killer music earlier this year, Selly G was noticeably MIA as she avoided sitting down with the press for most of the summer. It was later revealed that a dire kidney transplant forced the former Disney darling to briefly step away from the limelight.

However, it seems that Selena’s health is significantly better these days, as the Bad Liars singer is slated to perform at Sunday’s American Music Awards. And it appears as though Miz Gomez is eager to hit the stage once more as, on Wednesday, she shared a snippet from her AMAs rehearsal on Instagram.
In the video (below), Selena seems confident and poised as she belts out her collaboration with Marshmello, titled Wolves.

She sounds great!!!
We can’t say we’re surprised the A-lister has chosen the American Music Awards for her first live performance since undergoing surgery for a kidney transplant. As Taylor Swift‘s bestie suggested in the post (above), Selena’s experienced some major emotional milestones at the award show.
At the 2014 AMAs, Gomez broke down in tears while performing The Heart Wants What It Wants — a song inspired by her on-off relationship with Justin Bieber. Oh, and in case you’ve been living under a rock, Selena and Justin have rekindled their romance.
Not to mention, last year’s AMAs is where Selena made her first public appearance following a 90-day stint at a treatment facility for her depression and anxiety.
Obviously, this year’s AMAs is NOT one to miss. Be sure to tune in when the award show airs live on ABC on November 19.
