Sienna Miller is SOOO much more than a pretty face!
She’s a full on philanthropist!!
As International Medical Corps Global Ambassador, the stunning actress has announced the launch of a new First Responders commitment as part of the 2013 Clinton Global Initiative!
The goal of the initiative is to strengthen underdeveloped communities in places like Ethiopia and Kenya by giving them the tools and the education they need to tackle common issues and avoid disasters such as droughts and seasonal flooding.
Sienna opened up about the new program, saying:
“Resilience is the difference between children in an Ethiopian refugee camp dying of cholera because there is no clean water, rehydration salts or trained nurses ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and those same children growing up healthy because the people in their community were educated and trained on proper sanitation and nutrition.”
What a great idea!!
And Sienna is not alone here! In fact, she’s recruited a pretty impressive cast of celebs to help spread the word, including her beau Tom Sturridge, Jon Hamm, Chelsea Handler, Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Robert Pattinson, and Anna Wintour, just to name a few!
We always love seeing stars getting involved in charities, and hopefully with the cast she’s put together, Sienna will be able to raise even more awareness for such a great cause!
