Wow! We would have NEVER guessed that!
During Science Channel’s recent Trek Nation special, Star Trek alum Nichelle Nichols/Lt Uhura revealed that Spock was ORIGINALLY supposed to be a woman!
Here’s what she had to say about it:
“They gave me a three-page script to read from that had three characters named. There was Bones, Kirk and someone called Spock and they asked me to read for the role of Spock.”
“I said to myself, ‘I’ll take any one of these roles,’ but I found the Spock character to be very interesting.”
Maybe when they reboot Star Trek once again in fifteen years or so, they can give female Spock another try! Suri Cruise should be old enough for the role at that point, right? LOLz!
Do U think a female Spock is a good idea???
