Tom Cruise took a little bit of time out of his busy schedule to hit up the Staples Center for some Stanley Cup Playoff action!
But it wasn’t the Los Angeles Kings‘ impressive 3-0 victory over the San Jose Sharks that caught his eye. It was Pia Toscano!
The former American Idol was on hand to sing The Star-Spangled Banner, and apparently the actor was SOO blown away he just had to give her some props himself!
A source says that Tom went to pay Pia a visit in the Chairman’s Room between periods to congratulate her:
“He said, ‘You’re an amazing singer. You were awesome. That’s not an easy song to sing.'”
The singer was so excited about her meeting with Maverick that she snapped a picture and posted it to her Instagram account, writing:
“So great meeting @tomcruise at the @lakings game :)”
Pia has become a bit of a fixture at Kings games after she proved to be a good luck charm in their championship run last year, so naturally they’ve brought her back to sing at ALL of their games this year too!
But now that she has a fan in Tommy, who knows? Maybe she’ll move on to bigger and better things, like Scientology services!! LOLz!
