Time for Tracee Ellis Ross to set the record straight!
After a report came out earlier this week in THR that suggested Ross was paid considerably less money to star on Black-ish than her male co-star Anthony Anderson, the actress has come forward to put out facts about what’s going on, and where this falls regarding the persistent issues of a gender pay gap in Hollywood.

Ross did NOT explicitly confirm a pay gap between her and Anderson on the show, as the THR report had outlined, but instead noted that she was in renegotiation of her contract at the time and wished that a reporter had called her to confirm the context of her salary on the popular series before running with the post.

Whether this particular case is one of a gender pay gap or not, it’s refreshing to see these conversations are now seen as commonplace to the point where one day soon, this hopefully will never be an issue again.
