Cecil The Lion's Killer Has Been Contacted By U.S. Officials After Calls For His Extradition Back To Zimbabwe!

It seems like Dr. Walter Palmer might be in some legal hot water after all!
That’s because the dentist — infamous for killing Cecil, a famous and well-liked lion, during a hunt in Zimbabwe in July — contacted the US Fish And Wildlife Service offices last this week!

Vanessa C. Kauffman, a spokesperson for the office confirmed the contact, saying in a statement:

“The Service’s investigation is ongoing and appreciates that Dr. Palmer’s representative voluntarily reached out to the Service.”

As it turns out, Zimbabwe officials are in fact seeking to extradite Palmer, and Zimbabwe’s environment, water and climate minister, Oppah Muchinguri, said in a statement the extradition is necessary:

“So that [Palmer] be made accountable.”

There’s no indication at this point that any legal charges over the killing are forthcoming, but the dentist — who is pretty ignorant to the whole situation — is surely feeling the temperature rise as this story just won’t go away.
