As we told you a few months ago, Saturday Night Live alum Will Ferrell will make his Broadway debut this January with his new self-penned show called, You’re Welcome America. A Final Night with George W. Bush.
Ferrell’s show will be autobiographical and include anecdotes about his work on SNL and he’ll also do some of his famous impersonations.
And well, it looks like Ferrell is onto something with his new show.
In fact, HBO will air a live telecast in the spring of his Broadway show.
HBO is also now a producing partner of the stage show.
Ferrell’s show is expected to last through March 15th. So we suspect that HBO will likely air the show sometime nearing the end.
The Broadway show will begin with previews on January 20th at the Cort Theater on Inauguration Day, and will officially open on February 5th.
