According to the press release, the 42-year-old will also costar as country music star Jackson Maine whose career is slowly starting to fade when he discovers Ally (played by GaGa), a talented singer. Jackson pushes Ally into stardom and her career takes off promptly thereafter, causing Jackson to become plagued with jealousy.
Also according to the release, GaGa will write and perform original songs for the film!
