Branching out! Good for her!

Alicia Keys is poised to make her Broadway producing debut with Lydia R. Diamond's debut play Stick Fly. After a bit of a tour, the show will be premiering on Broadway in the fall, starting previews of November 18th.

Stick Fly, according to producers, "follows the LeVays, an affluent African American family who come together to spend a summer weekend at their Martha’s Vineyard home. The adult sons, aspiring novelist Kent and golden boy plastic surgeon Flip, have each brought their respective ladies (one Black and one White) to meet the parents. Food, drink and Trivial Pursuit tangle with class, race and identity politics in this contemporary comedy of manners."

Alicia spoke highly of the production in her own statement, saying:

Oh man! We feel like it really takes a lot to get on her bad side. You really effed up, G!

Last night, Alicia Keys hosted her annual Black Ball charity gala that helps raise money for orphaned children in Africa and India that are fighting HIV/AIDS. George Michael was poised to perform at the function, but at the last minute, bailed because of a toothache.

Alicia was not amused. She took to her Twitter shortly after the event ended for the evening, saying:

Adele Is Going To Have Singing Lessons

Adele Taking Singing Lessons

You might be thinking, "Why on Earth would Adele ever need singing lessons?" but we're here to tell you that it's probably a good idea.

It has nothing to do with the quality or sound of her voice, but everything to do with keeping her voice in a pristine condition that will minimize wear and tear, and issues that have actually already had an effect on her U.S. tour.

Rest is the doctor's orders, and that's why she has had to cut her tour short, however, with the help of a famous vocal coach, she hopes to master a new way of singing that'll keep this from happening again!

She's looking to Ron Anderson, famous for coaching Alicia Keys, Joss Stone, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Here's what he had to say:

"There are commonly two approaches singers take. They are called 'singing through your chest' or 'singing through your head'.

"Singing through your chest can increase the chances of callouses and nodules appearing on the vocal chords. But the latter approach drastically decreases the chances of those problems occurring.

"Adele sings more through her chest at the moment."

Inneresting!

Well, we totally hope that it works out! We know that Adele is a hard worker, so we wouldn't be surprise if she picked up on this new method rather quickly.

Which will be fantastic, because we can't live our lives without her!

Feel better, Adele!
