It seems times are tough for everyone nowadays!

Why continue to buy new clothing when you can recycle the same outfits over and over?????

Both Chris Martin of Coldplay and Brandon Flowers of The Killers were repeat offenders at the 2009 Brit Awards on Wednesday night!

Did you think we really wouldn't notice???

Martin donned the same shiteous patchwork jacket ensemble he wore to the Grammy's earlier this month, while Flowers decided it was time to pull the feathered blazer from the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards out of the closet!

Hope you guys made a trip to the dry cleaners before you wore those memorable jackets again!

We mentioned in December that music man Joe Satriani is alleging that Coldplay's Viva La Vida is a rip off of his song I Just Wanna Fly.

Satriani asserts that the band have dodged being served his plagiarism lawsuit, but he hopes that won't be the case for much longer.

He and his lawyer are planning to fill the Grammys with servers ready to pounce on Chris Martin and his fellow band mates.

The lawyer repping Satriani says, "We have warned their British lawyers that we have hired a fleet of process servers lined up to dog the band everywhere they go this weekend in the hopes of serving them."

He even promises to have camera crews roaming around with the process servers to get the whole thing on tape.

How dramatic!

Despite all the divorce rumors surrounding Goopeth Paltrow and Chris Martin, the Coldplay frontman denies there have been any marital mishaps.

He says, "I'm trying to think of when the last bit of bad news was. Well there hasn't been anything for a while. I'm supposed to be getting divorced but those things aren't happening so don't really count as bad news."

Sure, that's what they all say!

In response to the accusations of rock guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani that Coldplay ripped him off with their hit single Viva La Vida, the band had this to say on their website:

With the greatest possible respect to Joe Satriani, we have now unfortunately found it necessary to respond publicly to his allegations. If there are any similarities between our two pieces of music, they are entirely coincidental, and just as surprising to us as to him. Joe Satriani is a great musician, but he did not write the song Viva La Vida. We respectfully ask him to accept our assurances of this and wish him well with all future endeavours. Coldplay.

Rock guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani is suing Coldplay for copyright infringement.

In a suit filed yesterday, Thursday, in Los Angeles federal court, Satriani claims that the band's hit song Viva La Vida contains "substantial original portions" of his 2004 instrumental If I Could Fly.

Satriani is seeking a jury trial, damages and "any and all profits" connected to the alleged plagiarism.

Neither side could be reached for comment.

We gave the tracks a listen and noticed some similarities, but it will be up to a jury to decide if Satriani will be making any belated dough off of Coldplay!

It's been a good year for Coldplay too!

The group had the most downloaded album on iTunes this year.

Their Viva la Vida was named the best selling album of 2008.

And, since its release in June, Coldplay's CD has sold more than 2 million copies, and over 500,000 copies digitally.

As for the number 2 best selling album online, that goes to Jack Johnson's Sleep Through the Static, followed by the soundtrack to Juno.

The best-selling single goes to Leona Lewis's Bleeding Love.

The British beauty sold 3.2 million copies of her song digitally, followed by Coldplay's title track.

And, joining in having one of the top 10 singles is Rihanna who made the list with Don't Stop the Music and Katy Perry with I Kissed A Girl.

Gwynnie Paltrow probably can't believe that she's married to such a babbling idiot!

Chris Martin recently sat down with The Times of London in Denver, Colorado a few hours before Coldplay's show in the mile high city.

When Martin says he's homesick, the reporter asks him if there's anything he can get in Britain but not America.

The front man responded:

“Laid,” he beams. “Oh, and maybe a Toffee Crisp.”

We feel uncomfortably embarrassed for him.

No wonder Gwynnie is so surly all the time.
