Now THIS is the kind of response we're talking about!
On Tuesday night, Elton Johngave a touching and inspirational tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting mid-concert. The message was just what we needed after these dark past few days and shameful silence from a TON of celebrities.
In John's speech, he spoke about the hate that continues to permeate THE ENTIRE WORLD and why it's so important theLGBTQcommunity remain strong despite the ignorance and despicable people that wish to take us down, saying:
"Tonight we are winning the fight against prejudice."
Elton John is arguably the most famous gay musician in the world, so it's about time for him to officially speak out against Gov. Pat McCrory and his beyond bigoted House Bill 2.
Luckily, the 69-year-old AIDS ambassador did just that in an open letter to North Carolina through The Hill on Tuesday where he not only defended his LGBT peers, but also offered suggestions on how to move forward!
These two are collaborating on everything these days!
Per a report from Women's Wear Daily,Lady GaGa and Elton John are putting out a fashion line called Love Bravery. The musically inspired clothing and accessories collection hopes to "inspire compassion and combat prejudice".
According to the performers, the line will be featured in 150 Macy's stores as well as online between May 9 and August 30. To make matters even better, nothing in the collection will be priced higher than $100. Oh, and 25% of the purchase price items will go to Gaga's Born This Way Foundation and the Elton John Aids Foundation. So wonderful!
Summing up the line's vision, GaGa gushed:
"It's an honor to team up with Sir Elton John to create this line with Macy's. We need to make the world a kinder and braver place where men and women everywhere are empowered to live with compassion. That's what Born This Way Foundation is all about, that's what the Elton John AIDS Foundation is all about and that's what Love Bravery is all about."
Mr. John added:
"I love the idea of fusing who you are on the inside — your passions and dreams — with what you wear on the outside. Love Bravery is about the compassion on the inside to understand someone's fears, and the bravery on the outside to stand up for them, and for yourself: to accept others for who they are and to be who you want to be. It's what I‘ve tried to do in my life, my career and with the Elton John AIDS Foundation, and it's a passion Lady Gaga and I share. So I'm thrilled we are collaborating on this project and delighted Macy's understood our dream to connect with people this way."
Well, that sounds like an honorable mission! You can't go wrong with LOVE!
Unfortunately, the claims are very salacious and quite disturbing if true. Not only does Wenninger claim the singer got forceful with him, but he also revealed the icon spewed very offensive sexual remarks over the course of his employment.
According to Jeff, E.J. tried to put his hands in the bodyguard's pants, attempted to put his fingers between his butt cheeks, and also made a move to grope his genitals. In one particularly bold incident, Elton allegedly twisted Jeffrey's nipples.
Whenever these purported situations occurred, the 69-year-old would allegedly throw in crude remarks for good measure — like telling Jeff to "get his todger out" and to "say hello to Uncle Elton".
Well… there ya go.
Now the former employee is suing for sexual battery and harassment.
If these wild accusations are true, it would be especially damaging for his husband and two sons. As of now, Elton has yet to respond to the suit.
