Uma Thurman To Wed In Princess Diana's Former Home

uma.jpg

Uma Thurman and her SUPER wealthy fiance, rich dude Arpad Busson, are reportedly getting married at Kensington Palace next June 2010, the same place where Princess Diana once lived.

Chances are, though, that they'll be broken up by then!

The couple is said to have booked the famed Orangery in the palace for their ceremony with the guest list including Sir Elton John, Sting, Claudia Schiffer and Elizabeth Hurley.

To make sure the ceremony is totally private, they have booked the entire palace for the event.

He can afford it!

Uma and Arpad met in 2007 and have 4 children between the two of them. Uma has two from her previous marriage to Ethan Hawke and Arpad has two from his relationship with Elle McPherson.

This will be Arpad's first marriage and the third for Uma! Her first marriage was to actor Gary Oldman.

Well, they say the third time's the charm!

Going Big! Simon's 50th Birthday Bash

wenn-cowell__opt.jpg

Simon Cowell's 50th birthday bash is upon us and he's crossing the milestone in style!

Sony BMG is hosting the £250,000 black-tie event to be held at Hertfordshire's Wrotham Park for Cowell and 400 of his closest celebrity pals.

Expected guests include Sir Elton John, Kevin Spacey, Kate Moss and Kylie Minogue!

Surely Paula must be invited, too!

Our darling Leona Lewis, Il Divo and Westlife are also said to be performing at the A-list soiree on October 7.

Mezhgan Hussainy, Cowell's reported new girlfriend and American Idol make-up artist, is also invited in addition to THREE of his ex-girlfriends, including Terri Seymour.

How nice that the American Idol judge is so friendly with his past loves.

This sounds like a great party!

Where's Perezito's invitation?

Elton John Cleans Up The Tony's

eltonjohntonys.jpg

On Broadway's biggest night, it was Sir Elton John and his lively and moving musical Billy Elliot that was the brightest star. The show garnered 10 wins from the Tony Awards and no one was more humble and gracious than the piano man himself.

"Thank you for accepting us on Broadway," he said. "We came here at a hard time economically. You opened your hearts and you opened your wallets."

Other big wins included Angela Lansbury, who snagged her fifth Tony award for her role in the revival of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, the trio of "Billys", young actor's David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish, who will share the award for each portraying Billy Elliot, and the production of Hair that won for Best Musical Revival. Oskar Eustis, head of the Public Theater thanked everyone associated with iconic show, especially the original and revival cast: "These 32 most beautiful beasts of the forests, who not only know what hair stands for but live it every day. … Peace now, freedom now, equality now."

Prop 8 Reactions: Elton John Chimes In!

ejohnwenn152609.jpg

Sir Elton John, who married his Canadian partner David Furnish the first day civil partnerships were allowed in England, spoke to etalk in Canada about the ruling today, saying:

“That's just awful. I mean when you see places like Iowa saying yes and there's now five states [in favour] in America…and California is supposed to be a progressive state it just defies logic to me and I’m very disappointed with that."

Very well said, Sir!

Elton, Feminem's Sponsor?

eminemvibecover1__opt2.jpg

Sort of.

Eminem recalls the days after leaving his stint in rehab and tells Vibe that what really got him through was the support he received from pal, Elton John.

The rapper kept in constant contact with his superstar friend, as Elton would call several times a week just to check on him

"He was really supportive, and still is to this day."

And why did Fem choose Elton as his buddy to call?

"I knew he was in recovery and I just wanted to reach out to somebody who was on the same level as far as fame."

Incorrect.

You are nowhere near the same level of fame.

But let's hope you stay straight long enough to possibly work with him again!

It's Not Over Yet For Elton And Vegas

wenn-elton-john.jpg

After 5 years and 241 shows, Elton John is peacing out of Las Vegas for a well-deserved break.

For his final Sin City show on Wednesday night Elton played his greatest hits, much to the delight of his adoring fans, whom he thanked for their support.

Before closing with Your Song, Elton said, "Who are you going to get to fill in our shoes now? You've got Bette Midler, you've got Cher. It's gonna be the Village People next. One day I might even see you in Vegas, OK? But until then, I love you."

We love you too, Poppa!

Come back soon!

Now That's A Great Wedding Singer

Tennis star Andy Roddick proposed to his model girlfriend, Brooklyn Decker, almost exactly a year ago.

The two have been dating since the end of 2007 and we happily announced earlier this week that they'll soon be getting married. This weekend, actually!

Well, it's shaping up to be quite the affair. Sources are confirming that set to perform at the wedding is none other than Poppa Perez, the legendary Mister Elton John!

Turns out Roddick and Elton are charity buddies. About two years ago, Elton performed at the Andy Roddick Foundation's Charity Gala and then last year Roddick helped raise $400,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Wonder what song he'll sing!

Elton Says Goodbye To Vegas - For Good! John's Coliseum Gig Coming to an End

eltonsr.jpg

Sad news!!!!

If you've been dying to see Elton John's hit Vegas show, The Red Piano, you better get a move on it!

It's just been announced moments ago that his last show at Caesars Palace will happen on April 22nd.

Tickets for his last few April shows go on sale this Thursday.

Don't dilly dally!

Times may be tough, but we think people will dig deep to see Elton do his Vegas thing one last time in the awesome David LaChapelle-directed Red Piano show.
