More Brad!!!

Poppa Pitt, looking like a dapper don, put on his finest tux for the world premiere of his new Coen brothers-directed flick, Burn After Reading, Wednesday night at the Venice Film Festival.

The actor was joined by the equally dapper George Clooney, as well as the wonderfully esoteric co-star Tilda Swinton.

Who looked better in his tuxedo?

That George Clooney sure is….. clingy.

The former Facts of Life star was all over Bradley Pitt on Wednesday afternoon!

The pair gamely posed at a photocall for their new film, Burn After Reading, directed by Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, at the Lido in Venice.

The pic will officially launch the the 65th Venice International Film Festival tonight. However, the film is being presented out of competition.

P.S. Can't Brad dye his grey chin pubes????

With A Little Help From His Friends

wenn5125571.jpg

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama is going to get a bit of help campaigning from his friends in Hollywood.

George Clooney has decided to host a fundraiser for Obama in Geneva, Switzerland next month.

Why Geneva? Well, Georgey is summering in Italy, so it's nearby.

The event will take place on Tuesday, September 2nd and will offer a reception followed by a dinner, with a special speech by Clooney.

And, according to Obama’s National Finance Committee, the tickets for the reception are going for $1,000.

But if you want to go to dinner, that's extra. Dinner will be at the home of NFC member Charles Adams for $10,000 a plate!!!

And you better hurry, because the dinner will only sit 75 people.

The event will only be open to contributors that are US Citizens with a passport.

This kind of contradicts what Clooney's said before about not backing up nominees.

During a CNN interview Clooney had said, he was "hesitant" to campaign for anyone, calling it a "slippery slope."

Clooney added, “I feel that at times you can harm the person that you are trying to help. I don’t want to damage anybody.”

Wonder what changed his mind???

Star Effing

enabler.jpg

Looks like George Clooney's ex-girlfriend, Sarah Larson, is all about celebrity peen.

Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that on Tuesday night the former COCKtail waitress dined at Vegas hotspot Simon at Palm Place with hot hot actor Jason Statham.

Poor girl. When you start with George Clooney, your only real option is to eff your way down the celeb food chain.

After din din, Larson attended the swim-with-the-ducks pool party at Palms Place, which featured more than 25,000 rubber ducks in the pool.

We're guessing that the ducks weren't the only rubber thing Larson rubbed up against that night!

Peace Maker

Thank goodness that Vegas cocktail waitress is no longer distracting him!

George Clooney has stepped into the the SAG vs. AFTRA fray.

We've been waiting for this!

George just wants actors to get along instead of choosing between sparring unions.

In a two-page letter, released Thursday, Clooney adopted a neutral stance in the dispute between the two big actors unions.

"What we can't do is pit artist against artist," he wrote.

Tom Hanks and Alec Baldwin are 2 big names that have sided with AFTRA.

Jack Nicholson, Viggo Mortensen and Holly Hunter are the heavy hitters who have endorsed the SAG side.

Clooney called the fight counterproductive.

"Because the one thing you can be sure of is that stories about Jack Nicholson vs. Tom Hanks only strengthens the negotiating power" of the studios, he said.

We think George is right on — the suits are LOVING the actor bickering and division.

Clooney called on higher-paid actors to chip in a greater share of union dues and for 10 A-listers — "people that the studio heads don't often say 'no' to," he suggested, listing only Nicholson and Hanks by name — to sit down with studio heads once a year to "adjust the pay for actors."

SAG deputy executive director Pamm Fair reportedly called Clooney's letter valuable input.

AFTRA and the union repping the media moguls (the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers ) declined comment.

Hmmm…interesting…is AFTRA in the pockets of the studio suits?
