We'll feed you, baby birds! We know you've been clamoring to know what's going on with Mariska Hartigay's character on Law and Order: SVU, and why it's happening. We also just let you know that Jennifer Love Hewitt would be taking over her character's vacant position, because it looks like Hartigay's is moving on to a lesser role.

The reason for the cut back is that Mariska wants to spend more time with her kids!

Having her character accept a promotion or shift in job title is the perfect way to lessen the hours she has to put into the show:

"I think in the second half of the season, I'm going to go into a different position, which is very exciting. It'll be quite challenging and different, but I think it's exciting. Twelve years is a long time and I've gotten to really flesh out a lot [of Olivia] and I'm ready to do something a little different, but not ready to say goodbye to Olivia Benson.

"I think that's the reason we did it this way, and we structured it this way so I could have a little more free time to be a mom — that was the goal. I just think it's been really great writing and our show has a very strong soul. I think we've been really lucky with the casting. We have an incredible cast and we've been together a long time and Chris[topher Meloni] and I have been very blessed with the gift of chemistry and everything just clicked… It's been such a beautiful ride."

It will be exciting to hear who they actually get to fill the new detective role, though, we still think it'll be great if they offer it to Jennifer!

Mariska, it's wonderful to hear that you'll be able to split your time between Mommy duty and Cop duty. It's sacrifice like that that'll prove to be invaluable to your kids and how they grow up! We're sure they're going to love seeing you more often.

If there is one kind of marathon that people LOVE to watch, it would be Law and Order. So that's how we know that when we hear that Jennifer Love Hewitt could possibly be tapped for a female lead in SVU, that it's a pretty big deal for the actress!

Mariska Hartigay, the usual female lead, has just closed the deal on returning for the 13th season, which is fantastic in its own right. However, it'll be her last in that position… and she'll have to leave the spot for a worthy successor — where Jennifer could be stepping in!

Here's how it would go down:

Benson (Hartigay's character) will be promoted to a supervisor position, with a new female detective taking her place. That is the role that the producers are eying Hewitt for. Hewitt is not a stranger to SVU - she did a memorable guest appearance this past fall.

Sounds like a perfect situation for Jennifer, because we know she'll just slay that part after that guest appearance!

Meloni is also expected to sign back on with Mariska, but things are going a little slower for his deal because it's reported that he's looking for a raise from the $400k per episode he gets now.

According to her rep, Jennifer Love Hewitt is no longer dating actor-director, Alex Beh. After almost a year together, her rep confirms that the pair "haven't been dating for a little while," but offered notreason as to why that was the case.

Curious. The last we heard for you, you were so in love, Love! What happened to make you guys split?

Neve Campbell is this month's covergirl for Health Magazine. In her interview, she was asked if she keeps in touch with any of her old cast mates from Party of Five. She admits there are those among the cast that she has been able to stay close to, but others…not so much. She explains:

"Jennifer [Love Hewitt] & I DIDN'T stay in contact. But I talk to Lacey [Chabert] and Scott [Wolf]. Matthew [Fox] and I had been out of touch, but I ran into him at The Golden Globes and we got back in touch"

Sounds like the gang is WAY overdue for a reunion! Wouldn't it be nice to see everyone all together again?

According to 20,000 men who were polled by In Style, 41% chose Aniston as the hottest Jennifer and 47% chose Hudson as the most stylish Kate.

What other Jennifers do men consider HAWT? 33% chose Love Hewitt, and 13% chose both J. Lo and Garner.

As far as Kates are concerned, runners up for "most stylish" include Bosworth with 41%, Moss with 9%, and Gosselin at 3%.

What about Jennifer Grey? We're not giving any love to Dirty Dancing stars??? LOLz.

…And how about Kate Middleton? We're thinking she's a lot a bit more stylish than Gosselin.

We had no idea!

Since Jennifer Love Hewitt cut her teeth directing several episodes the The Ghost Whisperer, the actress will now direct the film Wait Till Helen Comes.

The young adult thriller is based on a novel of the same name. It centers on three siblings that move to a haunted house in Maryland. As the 12-year old narrator's stepsister falls under the power of the ghost of a young girl who stalks the house, the narrator must save the sister.

It's so great to see celebs give back!

Zachary Levi, Alyssa Milano, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Stephanie Pratt, and Brandy, and so many other celebs took time out of their busy schedules and volunteered to feed the homeless at the Los Angeles Mission on Christmas Eve.

It's great to see stars come out and help those in need.

The holidays have arrived early this year for Jennifer Love Hewitt and her beau Alex Beh.

Dave Barnes has just released the music video to his latest song, Christmas Tonight, a duet with Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum, which just so happens to be directed by Alex.

So naturally, Beh had his lady in mind when casting for the lead.

The two actually appear in the video together and play a couple planning their evenning and dancing around the living room.

Barnes’ album, Very Merry Christmas, comes out today, but in the mean time, check out the music video for Christmas Tonight starring JLH and Alex above.
