Stylist Tara Swennen said:

"Last season, it was so funny because they called us out in The New York Times [that] Kristen had sort of hit every trend last year except for peplum! She’s not a fan of peplum. I tried with 20 peplum dresses this year, and it was not happening! I’m trying to get her to the high-neck turtleneck thing. I’m trying to push her."

Maybe that's how the actress became Glamour UK's Best Dressed Woman of 2013 — by giving one of the biggest trends of the year the cold shoulder!

If Joan Jett went couture, then she'd morph into Kristen Stewart.

Arriving without her beau Robert Pattinson, she wore a red, custom-made Stella McCartney pantsuit with lace sides, a pair of maroon heels and a gold box clutch; so pretty much matching the Met Gala red carpet.

With her usual smokey eye and her hair and bangs pinned back, we actually were a little bored with KStew's choice. Usually, she's been rockin' the red carpet, but we weren't too riled up with this look.

Pretty, kind of, but exciting? Meh.

Despite Nicolas Ghesquière's departure from Balenciaga, it looks like Kristen Stewart is still "very much involved" with the label.

Some of her fans feared that she may have moved on after she revealed she supported his decision to leave. However, it sounds like she has a lot more projects in the bag, including a new fragrance campaign.

After designer Nicolas Ghesquière left Balenciaga, it seemed like the face of the label, Kristen Stewart would just be wandering aimlessly like a little lost puppy.

Not quite though, considering KStew and Nic are BFFs. And, actually, she couldn't be more "proud" of his decision to leave.

When asked what she thought about the former creative director's departure, Kristen revealed that the two had a convo about it, saying:

Kristen Stewart has clinched the #1 spot on Glamour UK's 50 Best Dressed Women of 2013, beating out the likes of Katy Perry and Emma Stone.

Voted number one for her "personal rock-chick style," it seemed that the hipster look beat out more classic styles like the Kate Middleton, who came in number 3, and Emma Watson, who took second place.

Some people would disagree though, considering KStew is usually criticized for her sloppy clothes and dirty hair. However, she really has stepped up her red carpet game over the last year.
