As the title of Lena Dunham's book asserts, she's Not That Kind Of Girl.
Not the kind of girl to sit quietly when she has something to say, and not the kind of girl who won't respond when she feels attacked.
And many parts of her book have come under fire lately — not only was she accused of raping her sister, many didn't believe her account of being raped herself.
She's now speaking up about that incident and giving her thoughts on the way the public has responded to it.
In an essay titled "Why I Chose To Speak Out", Lena writes:
Every year The Guardian compiles a list of the 100 most powerful people in the U.K. media.
Topping the list are obvious choices like Google's Larry Page, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, and Apple's Tim Cook.
But hitting number 10, far and away the highest spot for a woman this year, is our girl Taylor Swift!
Gurl has proved her influence over the music industry with her fight against Spotify "bringing the issue of artist remuneration into the spotlight."
Whether you agree with her or not, you can't deny Swifty's power!
But who else made the list?
Jimmy Kimmel is pretty good at riding the line between funny and mean.
But when it comes to Twitter? It's all mean!
At least in this segment of Kimmel's popular Mean Tweets gag (okay, it's more hilarious than mean!)!
We seriously can't get enough of these videos. How he gets A-listers to read out seriously weird, mean tweets about themselves we do not know.
Check out the video (below) and prepare to laugh your booty off!
Stop the presses! Or the internet or whatever!
HBO's Girls has a release date AND a new trailer!!
That's right, season 4 of one of your most favoritest shows ever is coming back… and it's coming back on
We guess her musings on Twitter the other day weren't enough.
Lena Dunham was accused of sexually abusing her younger sister after a passage from her book Not That Kind of Girl hit a conservative news website.
Well, the actress has already canceled two book signings and threatened legal action against Truth Revolt, the ones who ran the story originally, but it's not the end
Her initial statements, however, didn't seem to be be enough to quell the storm, so she's released an official statement via TIME.
We're not surprised in the least that Lena Dunham is fighting back in this case!
In case you live under a rock or something, the Girls actress has been under fire for claims that she sexually abused her younger sister, Grace Dunham, when they were younger.
This idea was brought about by the conservative news website Truth Revolt and they've caused quite a stir.
However, Lena isn't take this ish and has already sent a cease and desist letter threatening legal action if they do not remove the original post and apologize for it.
Well, Truth Revolt isn't having it and responded by saying:
