Lionsgate Wants Slumdog Scribe To Write Hunger Games Sequel; All Based On The Trailer!

hunger-games-sequel-to-be-written-by-slumdog-writer-web.jpg

Lionsgate is already starting to get antsy with Catching Fire, the second book of The Hunger Games trilogy and sequel to the upcoming The Hunger Games movie.

According to reports, Lionsgate wants Simon Beaufoy to write the sequel. Beaufoy has written Slumdog Millionaire and more recently 127 Hours.

While director of The Hunger Games, Gary Ross, and author Suzanne Collins co-wrote the first movie, production has taken too much time for producers to wait on the sequel.

This haste has come from the recently released trailer. Just the awesome and epic trailer released earlier this week.

As reported earlier, The Hunger Games is going to be huge and Lionsgate doesn't want to waste time.

The film is loaded with talent including Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and the Lenny Kravitz.

The movie premieres March 23, 2012 and be on the lookout for Catching Fire soon after!

Watch The Full-Length Trailer For The Hunger Games HERE!!!

The odds are ever in your favor today!

While Twi-hards are flocking to theaters perhaps even as early as today for the release of Breaking Dawn this Friday, Tributes (yes, that is what we are calling ya'll) will be attached to their computers for an estimated 17 hours watching the first full-length trailer for The Hunger Games!

For those of you who don't know, this is going to be huge. The books, much like Twilight and Harry Potter, are widely successful and Lionsgate cast a perfect ensemble for this dystopia triology, including Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and yes, you do see Lenny Kravtiz in there.

It's that good!

We invite you to step on up and press play (above) to see what all the hype is about. Trust us, in a few months, these faces are going to be EVERYWHERE. This is going to be HUGE!

Tributes: did the trailer live up to your expectation? How does your Mockingjay look to you? And how HOT is Gale?! Phew!!!
