And now thanks to a lip-slip courtesy of famed composer David Krane, we're almost 100% positive the rumor is TRUE!!

During a recent interview, Krane dished:

When HBO got the rights to a book about high fashion and fame, of course they thought of Lena Dunham to write the TV show!

Along with co-showrunner Jenni Konner, Lena has created a bona fide hit for the network, and they're hoping the duo can do it again!

Only instead of Girls, they'll be writing about women! One particular woman, in fact- Betty Halbreich!

Over the last four decades, the personal shopper has become a fashion guru to stars such as Meryl Streep, Katie Couric, and even Sarah Jessica Parker!

That's right! Betty helped create the look for Sex And The City, the show that helped create the look for America!

Is Lena Dunham ready to write a woman that already became who she was? Guess we'll have to tune in to find out!
