The Fast drama continues.

It seems Tyrese isn't the only one with hard feelings toward Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Vin Diesel seemingly threw some shade of his own on Instagram on Thursday!

ICYMI, the 39-year-old rapper called out the former wrestler via social media this week for "breaking up" the Fast family by signing up for a solo spinoff film that delays the release of Fast 9.

Understandably, the grieving process has been very difficult for the late star's mom, who admits to Dr. Oz that she found it difficult to "wake up in the morning" despite the support of her family:

"I felt guilty for even feeling like that but I really honestly would wish that I didn't have to wake up in the morning. I would never have taken my life but I really felt that way. Because when you wake up, you have to realize it's real and you relive it all over again."

Most Fast & Furious fans wish they could drift like the pros on the big screen.

But participating in illegal street races and high octane heists is *probably* best left to Vin Diesel and the gang.

Thankfully, we have a much safer alternative for gearheads to put their furious obsession to the test: a car-to-character guessing game!

You Won't BELIEVE Who Nearly Had Vin Diesel's Role In The Fast & The Furious! (And Other Movies That Almost Had Very Different Stars!)

It's hard to imagine anyone other than Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious.

But the street racer-turned-international secret agent (man, this franchise cray!) was almost played by someone very different — Justified star Timothy Olyphant!

Speaking on The Bill Simmons Podcast on Wednesday, producer Neil H. Moritz said after finding Paul Walker there was only one piece of the puzzle needed to make the project a go:

"And then we had to look for Dom Toretto. The studio said, 'If you can get Timothy Olyphant to play that role we will greenlight the movie… The luckiest thing that ever happened to us is Tim Olyphant turned us down. He's a great actor. In fact, I'm curious to see what that movie would have been."

Wow. So are we! (We're thinking the studio was happy with his performance as a cop in the previous year's fast car flick Gone In Sixty Seconds!)

But of course, Neil then found Vin, who was perfect for the bad boy boss from the get:

"I went and met him at Kate Mantilini and he wasn't a star yet, but the great thing about Vin is he always believed he was a star. And I was going in there to think he's coming to me to want the role and I'm the one there now having to convince him to do the role! Lucky for both of us that happened."

Lucky for us too, eight movies later! But Furious wasn't the only classic that almost had a completely different cast!

Fate Of The Furious Is Disjointed, Nonsensical, High-Octane Action — And No One's Complaining! See The Fate In Our Review Roundup!

no title

In the span of 7 films, the Fast and the Furious franchise grew from a fast-paced B-action film to a full-blown, star-studded blockbuster franchise — and if Fast 8 is any indication, this series doesn't plan on slowing down.

But from the absence of series favorite Paul Walker to an overcrowded cast of action stars, how did The Fate Of The Furious fare with the backseat drivers of cinema, the critics?

Not so bad, it seems — as the film currently has a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Because nearly every early viewer knew the mindless action they were getting into, and praised the film for raising the bar with even more over the top stunts and explosions! (Dom racing a heat seeking missile? Sure, why not!)

Of course, those who actually paid attention to the story had a laundry list of complaints including: logic-defying action plots, a disjointed narrative, and unfathomable character decisions to make old enemies part of the gang.

Still, critics couldn't help but love Vin Diesel's grunty dialogue and testosterone-fueled one-upmanship between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jason Statham — not to mention series newcomers Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren adding some much needed femme fatalism!
