Yesterday we mentioned a quote that Disney star Selena Gomez made about her ex-boyfriends.

Gomez said, “I get so mad about ex-boyfriends, but if a boy hurts me, I don’t write a song about it. They don’t deserve it!”

Many construed that to be a dig at Taylor Swift, ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas, brother to Nick Jonas, boyfriend of Selena.

Well, it seems the young starlet now wants to clear some things up. Even though it was pretty clear what she meant!

So, Selena took to her official blog and posted the following:

Hey Everyone–

There was recently a quote released about me saying that I don't write songs about ex boyfriends, I may have been misunderstood and would like to clear that up. Most of my songs are about love, I am a 16 year old teenager and I sing about what is on every girls mind. Love. What I was implying was that the songs I sing about, the boys who have hurt me or that are no longer in my life don't deserve a song to be written about them but, that's impossible. Writing and singing is a gateway to sharing and getting out feelings. I hope that I have cleared up any confusion I may have caused to my fans! You guys rock and mean the world to me!

Despite claiming to be drama-free, Carrie Underwood's recent anti-politics comments have garnered the little country crooner some negative attention.

Sweet Selenita responded to Carrie's statement that celebrities should not make public political endorsements with some disapproval.

"A lot of people do look up to certain celebrities and will follow in their footsteps," Gomez says, but with wisdom beyond her years, cautioned, "I think you just have to be aware of what you're saying."

Although the little Disney star is not yet old enough to vote, she was active in encouraging the under-18 crowd to educate themselves. She helped launch UR Vote Counts, which conducted a faux election for teens, with voting booths set up in malls.

And high schoolers all over elected Obama for president as well.

Selena observed, "I'm glad that people are getting involved with the election. This election has been the biggest with celebrities."

Which means that Carrie must have "lost respect" for names such a Steven Spielberg and Brad Pitt.

Have U had your break today????

These Disney cuties have!

Though work commitments and their super busy schedules have kept them apart, Selena Gomez (left) and Demi Lovato got to catch up and spend some quality time together this past weekend.

The BFFs were snapped doing what normal teens do, going to McDonald's and giggling about boys.

Or were they just talking shit about Miley and cackling up a storm???

Probably both!

Disney really has the Midas touch! There's no denying they can make a star out of almost any teen.

Hilary Duff got her big break on Disney, as did Shia LaBeouf, and some Disney slut too.

And, now, it looks like Selena Gomez really might be their next big hit.

The star of the Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place, Gomez has revealed some interesting news. The head honchos at the Mouse House are turning her sitcom into a major motion picture! Similar to what they did with Hillary's show, Lizzie McGuire, or the upcoming Hannah Montana film.

And in a recent interview, Selena opens up about the future flick.

She even reveals they plan on filming in NY. Gomez says, "Yes! We actually want to shoot it here in New York."

And in case you haven't watched the show, it deals with a family of wizards whose kids (Selena and two brothers) have magical powers.

As for the plot of the movie, she says, "I think it would have to be that our secret is about to be exposed." But in the mean time, she hasn't forgotten where she started at, and Selena keeps her focus on the show.

And talking about the show's second season she says, "I think that my fans will expect more magic and crazy stuff going on. I think you see Alex (played by Gomez) more mature this season. She gets her first boyfriend. His name is Daniel, and he's just this really sweet guy who, I honestly think, has a lot of potential. I think he's going to do great."

In a cute attempt to get her crush, Shia LaBeouf on the show, or movie, Gomez makes another plea.

She jokes, "You'd think that as much as I promote it (Shia would be guest starring). I'm, like, begging, but it's not happening. I know I'm a nerd! Please, Shia, come on my show!"

They're passing the baton!

We just can't get enough of the next big Disney star, Selena Gomez.

The spokesperson for the 2008 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign was out and about in Hollywood yesterday.

The beauty was spotted showing her support for the company that made her famous at the premiere of High School Musical 3.

Unlike some Disney sluts who wear too much makeup, short dresses, and have much too old boyfriends, Selena looked wonderful and natural.

Here's someone your kids should look up too.

Disney teen star Selena Gomez is just too good to be true!

Gomez was recently named the spokesperson for the 2008 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign.

This year is the 58th anniversary for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. The goal is to encourage children to help other kids around the world.

Of being named the spokesperson for the campaign, Gomez says, "I am extremely excited to be this year's Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF spokesperson. I want to help encourage other kids to make a difference in the world and show them that Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is such a great, fun way to get involved."

She's just too cute!

Caryl Stern, President and CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, says "We are thrilled to have Selena be a part of the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF program this year. Young people can relate to Selena, and she is a great role model who we believe will greatly enhance the visibility of the program."

As of today, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF has raised over $140 million to help benefit children.

It's nice to see some of young Hollywood helping those less fortunate.

Too bad some people can't be the same way.

The little Disney princess is forgoing the solo path to pop stardom to assemble a band, and auditions for members are currently happening in Hollywood while Selena is in the studio recording vocals.

How about all the fans who would just love to play with her?

Says Gomez:

We plan on holding auditions in Hollywood, and in the meantime I will be in the studio recording some of the songs. As far as actual band members right now, we do not have any, but it is getting closer and closer and I am really excited to be in the studio.

Cute as a button, Selena says, "I am so blessed, I really am. It’s something I have always wanted to do…to share my dream with other people."

Awww!

Disney star Selena Gomez sat down with TV Guide recently and opened up about a whole host of stuff!

Selena on her alleged feud with Miley Cyrus:
(the rivalry) "…was completely blown out of proportion. That [YouTube] video was ages ago, and it's so irrelevant and not important to everything else going on..There's no feud."

Why'd you miss her bday party then Selena?

On the rumors that she is dating Nick Jonas:
"I've gotten really close to the entire Jonas family this past year. Nick and I are getting to know each other, but we're not confirming anything."

They're totally together!

Selena also admitted to having a crush on Shia La Beouf.

She'll be legal in two years, Shia!
