After famously replacing Shannen Doherty on the hit TV show Charmed back in 2001, Rose McGowan has finally reached out to the 45-year-old amid her battle with breast cancer — oh, and also totally called out Hollywood for pitting them against each other all of those years ago. Better late than never, right?
On Tuesday evening, the Scream star took to Instagram to pen a powerful note where she tackled the industry's sexism problem and wished Miz Doherty only the best. Alongside a cartoon drawing of the two starlets, The Jawbreaker actress wrote:
Such a meaningful night!!
Shannen Doherty took part in Friday night's fifth annual Stand Up To Cancer telethon at the Music Center's Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and shared a very touching, poignant message about her battle with breast cancer.
The star was part of a series of actors, performers, and other celebs who were all smiles at the feel-good event, and afterwards, Shannen shared a very touching message on Instagram (below):
Shannen Doherty is doing such important work by documenting her cancer journey.
On Tuesday, Ms. Doherty shared some heart-wrenching snaps from a round of chemotherapy which took place on August 10. Luckily for the actress, her devoted husband Kurt Iswarienko was by her side throughout the entire ordeal.
The beauty's emotional photos comes on the heels of news that the breast cancer has spread to her lymph-nodes. Obviously, it's a very difficult time for the Beverly Hills 90210 star.
The 45-year-old captioned the intense shot (above):
"There are many faces to cancer. This is one of them. Chemo Day With @kurtiswarienko by my side. August 10, 2016."
Wow. Shannen is SO brave for exposing her vulnerabilities like this.
Take a look at another pic from S.D.'s chemotherapy session (below):
Keep on fighting!
On Tuesday, she shared a photo of herself on a girls' night out with friend Anne Marie Kortright at Nobu in Malibu.
The 45-year-old wrote:
"Love girls night with @annemkortright helping me celebrate feeling good enough to eat before Wednesday's chemo. #bff #fightlikeagirl#cancersucks #warrior"
Heck yeah, she's a warrior!
We know she's gonna beat this thing, and we're totally in her corner.
We also hope her chemo treatment goes well today.
You're in our thoughts, Shannen!

On Monday, TMZ revealed both parties were finally able to reach a settlement in the $15 million legal battle, where the actress claimed her ex management firm was negligent with her health insurance leading to her late breast cancer diagnosis.
As we previously reported, the Charmed star went as far to say in the legal docs against Tanner, Mainstain, Glynn & Johnson that if she were still covered by insurance, her cancer could have been caught earlier OR even prevented!!
They reached the settlement at the end of last week, and it's being reported her former management's lawyers were ready to depose the celebrity again in order to find out "how sick she really was."
So so sad.
Although she hasn't spoken out about the lawsuit news, she did share a happier clip to Instagram on Monday:
This is the last thing Shannen Doherty needs right now!
According to TMZ, Shannen's ex-manager's lawyer Steven Blatt is accusing the actress of using her cancer diagnosis to avoid a deposition connected to an ongoing court case.
Due to the company's alleged mismanagement, her coverage was cancelled and she wasn't able to visit a doctor for a prolonged amount of time. Ms. Doherty believes this is why she wasn't able to catch her breast cancer before it tragically spread to her lymph nodes.
Not only does the lawyer reject the claims, but he also alleges
Friends through thick and thin!
Alongside a picture of the gal pals hugging (above), the 39-year-old wrote:
"My #mondaymuse (and really every day #muse) is my brave friend@theshando. I've always said she is one of the most loyal friends I've ever known, and now while she is facing the toughest journey of her life, she is sharing it with friends she has never met in the hopes of helping other people who are going through the same struggle. That's a true friend #FuckCancer"
We're sure Shannen appreciates being surrounded by so many loved ones during such a difficult battle.
We continue to pray for a speedy and successful recovery!!!
