This is just an awful, horrible story.
Max Clifford is a renowned celebrity publicist, you might have heard of him.
Maybe it's because he represents (or at least represented until very recently) music and TV icon Simon Cowell. Or maybe it's because the 71-year-old Brit was recently convicted of eight counts of indecent assault against a multitude of young women.
Ugh. Absolutely disgusting. It doesn't matter how good he is at PR because this is one of those super icky stories that just cannot be spun.
A British judge has just sentenced him to spend at least eight years in prison for his horrible, reprehensible actions. Though the crimes were all committed over 30 years ago, the judge didn't let that stop him from throwing the book at Max.
Here's an excerpt from the judge's ruling:
Simon Cowell has already conquered music, TV, fatherhood. So what's next? Possibly Broadway!
Simon recently produced a musical on London's West End called I Can't Sing, a spoof of X Factor, that is getting some pretty exciting reviews.
According to inside sources, the show's producers are in talks with multiple theaters to bring Sing to the Great White Way!
But there are a couple obstacles. First, the show is an obvious send-up of the judges on X Factor UK! For it to work on Broadway, the script would have to be adapted to reflect the judges American audiences have grown to love.
The second roadbump is a bit taller- and more personal! It seems some of the spoofing hit a little too close to home for some of the judges! The source says:
Simon Cowell has reportedly said before he didn't want to have children, but after knocking up his good friend's wife, Lauren Silverman, he had no choice but to own up to the whole situation.
And when baby Eric came into the world, his whole life turned around! Babies can do that to a person!
In a recent interview, the former American Idol did admit he regret betraying his friend when he impregnanted Andrew Silverman's then wife.
The new father of one said of his extramarital affair with Lauren:
It's pretty much safe to say Simon Cowell is the driving force behind One Direction's success!
He did pick those boys and grouped them together when they appeared on X Factor the very first time. But even though they placed third in the competition, they're certainly number one in every tween's heart at the moment!
So, it's no surprise that the X Factor judge wants to recreate that success with another, younger band, that's why he lowered the age limit from 16 to 14!
A source close to the situation is claiming:
We've missed you since your X Factor days, Kelly Rowland!
Which is why we were so thrilled to catch up with this veteran diva for an EXCLUSIVE interview about all things musical!
Kell spilled some partial beans on her yet-to-be released album, her admiration for Demi Lovato's AH-Mazing Neon Lights tour, and Simon Cowell's fantastic daddy skills!

Just as the X Factor UK is warming up for its 11th season, I Can't Sing! The X Factor The Musical had to abandon a live performance mid-show.
After a 45-minute delay, the London Palladium production had to call it quits on the second act last night thanks to a mysterious
