After an Internet rumor circulated that Zach Braff of Scrubs fame had committed suicide, the actor has assured the world he is alive and well with his sense of humor still intact.

The douche behind the rumor, New Jersey resident Chris Laganella, posted an apology to Braff on his personal website:

"I'm sorry if I scared everyone. Zach, sorry if you got offended by me posting a fake suicide about you on the Internet. Your 32,000 square foot house would be pretty empty without you. Thanks for (apparently) taking it lightly, since I haven't gotten a letter about a lawsuit yet. Just so you know, I'm a huge fan; that's the only reason I made this page, believe it or not. Also, sorry for upsetting your mother "

Scrubs has been resuscitated by ABC!

Again!

The network has announced that they'll be bringing Scrubs back in the fall for the show's ninth season.

ABC swooped in and saved the comedy from cancellation last spring after NBC dropped Scrubs from their Thursday night line-up.

Leads Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke will be returning for only six new eps of the show, with Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn sticking around for the entire season.

Yay!

The show for the new sensitive male is once again proving its staying power.

Scrubs is in talks with ABC for a 9th season with some, if not all, of the original cast returning for the renewal.

Although nothing is set in stone just yet, last summer Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence and ABC chief Stephen McPherson indicated that they might be looking into keeping the show on the air with a "revolving door" cast not too unlike NBC's ER.

Ah, we can hear Zach Braff's sensitive opening monologue now!

And if he does leave the show, we know someone who'll be very very happy - Donald Faison!

Good new for the those Scrubs fans that remain out there.

As you might have heard by now, the show is being picked up by ABC for another season. It's likely to start airing in January 2009.

And, rumors are that the sitcom might continue on for a few more seasons with new cast members along the way.

Looks like they're trying to make it survive like ER did.

There's a (strong?) possibility that Scrubs lead Zach Braff won't be returning.

ABC entertainment president Steve McPherson said, "Certainly when we picked it up we had to make the decision based on this one season because, you know, there is a likelihood that that would be it."

He adds, "We do think there's an opportunity after that — talking to Zach, talking to Bill — and whether and/or all of the cast is a part of that, I still think there's a great amount of growth there. We do think that it will not hopefully be a one-season situation. But we'll just take that step by step."

Forget about future seasons.

Zach Braff just posted a MySpace bulletin that confirms "one of the worst-kept secrets in town" — that Scrubs is indeed moving from NBC to ABC.

It is a rare rare move for a series to move from one network to another!

Here's the bulletin for those of you who aren't 'friends' with Zach:

Subject: Scrubs moves to ABC

Dear friends,

Many of you have been understandably confused by the Fairy Tale episode of Scrubs serving as the series finale. It was not. I was not allowed to say it until today, but Scrubs will be moving to ABC for its final season. We are currently filming the 8th and final season. The true finale of the show will air on ABC in the fall. NBC merely promoted the Fairy Tale episode as the finale, as it was the last episode they owned.

Also, several of you were very confused by the fact that Dr. Kelso and Laverne were still working at the hospital in the Fairy Tale episode. Because of the writer's strike, the last remaining episodes for NBC were aired out of order. This is why Dr. Kelso was still chief of medicine. That was not Laverne however, for those of you who have been following closely; it was a new nurse "Shirley" who no one thinks looks anything like Laverne except for JD.

Hope this clears some things up.

Did they move in together???

Zac Braff and his new girlfriend, actress Shiri Appleby, sure are getting domestic!

The pair spent a busy Sunday together. They started off with breakfast at Hugo's in West Hollywood. Next they went refrigerator shopping at Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse in Burbank.

Finally, they ended up at the Treeland Nursery Farms in Calabasas, where they browsed for trees.

And then they went home and made a sex tape!
