Get ready to pop out into the nest soon, little Birdie!!!
Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are expecting a daughter later this spring, and as we learned at their baby shower earlier this week, they’re going to name her Birdie!

A source has just confirmed the name choice to People, remarking on the name itself and the use of it to celebrate at the shower:
“Birdie is the baby’s name. … The shower was a bird’s nest theme to celebrate Birdie. Birdie is a family name [on Jessica’s side].”
Awww! Things are always a little more meaningful when you use the name of a special family member, aren’t they?!
The source continued on, too, talking more about the shower itself and how loved Jessica feels at this point after getting so much support from her family and friends:
“It was a great day. Jessica is feeling very loved and she is ready for [Birdie] to come. She felt very loved, surrounded by her closest friends and her mom and her sister.”
So great to hear!
And so happy for Jessica and Eric… it won’t be long now until Birdie officially joins the family!!
