Now, the suspected shooter's sister is opening up about her brother's horrific crimes. Saira Khan doesn't believe her sibling can be forgiven, telling CBS News:

"I don't even know if I would forgive him. Just because of what he did."

Her husband, Farhan Kahn, also agrees that his brother-in-law's terrible actions can't possibly be justified, adding:

"With what he did, no. What he did to his own family, to his daughter, to our family, to the innocent people there — no. I wouldn't forgive him."

Saira was in complete disbelief when she learned her family members were responsible for the senseless shooting, saying:

"I can never imagine my brother or my sister-in-law doing something like this. Especially because they were happily married, they had a beautiful 6-month-old daughter. It's just mind boggling why they would do something like this."

Her husband admitted to NBC News that they've begun the legal process of adopting the defenseless six-month-old daughter Syed and his wife had left behind.

Saira wondered if she could have possibly prevented the terrible tragedy, reflecting:

In a new statement, President Barack Obama said it "was possible this was terrorist-related" but stressed the FBI investigation has just begun. He stated bluntly:

"We don't know why they did it. We don't know the extent of their plans. We don't know their motivations."

He also allowed the possibility that the shooting was "workplace-related" since one of the slain suspects was a former Health Department employee.

A third suspect — a man rumored to be Syed's brother — is currently in police custody.

There are several conflicting reports regarding this man's identity.

While The Daily Beast claims he was a business tax representative for the California State Board of Equalization, the Los Angeles Times is reporting that public records show a man named "Syed Farook" was employed by the San Bernardino County Health department as an environmental health specialist.

Police are currently raiding a residence in the Redlands area that has been linked to Farook's family.

The mass shooting killed 14 and injured at least 18 more.
