While we REALLY don’t condone the killing of animals, this case is probably for the better.
The California dairy cow that was found to have Mad Cow Disease has been euthanized. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is saying that the animal was 10 years and seven months old.
Apparently it was, “humanely euthanized after it developed lameness and became recumbent.”
There is still no risk to the food supply, luckily, and this is the first case reported since 2006.
RIP little buddy, we’re so sorry you got sick!
