Andy Cohen won’t be commenting on any more royal conspiracy theories from here on out!
The Watch What Happens Live host has apologized for speculating about Princess Catherine‘s health and whereabouts (along with the rest of the world that was busy doing it, too) following the shocking reveal of her cancer diagnosis. In Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live, the Real Housewives exec said candidly:
“We’ve been off the air for a week. I just want to say, I am heartbroken by the news about Princess Kate [Middleton]. And I think someone on Sky News called me a ‘numpty’ during that whole conversation and they were right.”
Oof! He’s really humbling himself!

His co-host John Hill totally agreed with the naysayers, adding:
“They were right. They were right.”
Hah! But on a more serious note, Andy went on to wish the royal family well amid this scary health crisis. He concluded:
“They were right and of course, I wish I had kept my mouth shut and we are all praying for Princess Kate and King Charles. And so, I just had to say that right at the beginning. It’s the first opportunity back in front of a live microphone.”
He’s far from the only one having second thoughts about their social media activity before knowing what was going on with Kate!
As Perezcious readers know, for weeks, Prince William‘s wife was the center of conspiracy theories as folks felt something was off amid her recovery from surgery. Her rare sightings during this time did nothing to shut down worries, especially once the photoshop controversy began. It was during this chaotic period that the mother of three was spotted at the Windsor Farm Shop last month in a video taken by a fellow shopper. But nobody believed it was the real Princess of Wales! That’s what caused Andy to write on X (Twitter):
“That ain’t Kate…”
Not the worst thing he could’ve said! But we understand why he feels bad! We now know the future queen was in the early stages of preventive chemotherapy for an unspecified form of cancer. She didn’t need the drama of all the endless rumors on top of that!
