Think The Bachelorette's Inclusion Of Their Deceased Contestant Is Morbid? His Sister Doesn't Agree With You!

Wow.
We imagine it would be impossible for many to watch their deceased loved ones on TV, but Karen Tracy sits down to watch her late brother Eric Hill as he battles for Andi Dorfman‘s heart on The Bachelorette every week.
While it was a controversial decision to air the show after the contestant’s fatal paragliding accident, Karen proclaims she is actually grateful she gets to see her brother live beyond his death and enter the homes of millions of viewers.
In a reflection published on Today.com, Karen said:

“I have the unique opportunity to watch him live on, and watch the world get to know him. In some ways, it’s only fitting that he is defying death in this way. My brother always thought bigger and dreamed bigger than anyone I have ever known.”

With a man who funded a project to travel all the countries of the world, we couldn’t agree more.
Karen continued:

“People ask if it’s difficult to watch him on the show, and I do get a little nervous until I see the handsome brother that I know and love. My family ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ my parents and my four other brothers ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ have all grown used to watching Eric onscreen. He always posted videos of his travels on his site and shared them with us on visits. We watched him ride camels in Egypt, go paragliding in Iceland and do handstands on the Great Wall.”

What a wise outlook.
There is certainly a hole in Karen’s life without her beloved bro, but she plans to celebrate his life as she mourns. She finds serenity in knowing that Eric lived, as seen on The Bachelorette, and died doing what he loved to do.
As for the day he left the world following a paragliding accident, Karen recalled:

“My family and I rushed to the hospital, where Eric lay in a coma for two more days. I just wanted to keep him ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ in any condition ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ but I understood that we had to let him go. At least I got to spend those precious last hours with him, to hold his hand, stroke his hair and tell him how much I loved him for the last time. I know he could feel our love; it permeated the room. Heaven felt so close, and we have a deep faith that we will see him again. Just before his accident, I had learned that I was pregnant with my fourth baby, and I like to think about how Eric will get to know my child before I will.”

YUP. There is no question Eric squeezed the life out of every day he walked this Earth.
He may not have gotten the opportunity to have children of his own as he discussed with Andi Dorfman, but Karen’s words prove that he was indeed loved.
