Cara Delevingne Calls Out Fans For 'Hating On' Ashley Benson, Asks That They 'Spread Love, Not Hate'

Everybody just take a deep breath and pause for a minute!

Cara Delevingne is hoping cooler heads will prevail on social media, as fans and followers of hers have apparently been “hating on” ex Ashley Benson in the aftermath of the pair’s breakup earlier this month. And now, the 27-year-old British model is sending a direct message on Instagram: it’s time to back off!

As we’ve been reporting, Delevingne and the 30-year-old Pretty Little Liars star suddenly split in early May after nearly two full years of dating. The pair first officially confirmed their romance in June 2019, after almost a year of suspicion and rumors.

But days after their announced breakup, Benson was spotted out and about with Halsey‘s long-embattled ex-boyfriend G-Eazy, which had followers feeling some type of way online. Fan accounts and social media users alike debated Benson’s PDA foray with the rapper, with some criticizing her with cheating accusations and other unfounded allegations.

Well, it’s apparently gotten to be too much for Delvingne, who took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday afternoon to deliver the following message to anyone who needed to hear it (below):

Pretty short, sweet, and to the point, we’d say. Wouldn’t you?!

It’s interesting, though… after all, Cara and Ashley had previously been notoriously private about their relationship. They didn’t even admit publicly that they were dating for the first full year of their coupling! So for Cara to come out and openly write that on social media now? It must mean the criticism has gotten REALLY bad online. Ugh!

Regardless, things are over between these two, and it appears both are eager to move on in their own separate directions. Should we chalk this up to a coronavirus breakup?! Of course, we’ve been reporting quite a bit about how other couples are struggling under the pressure of self-isolation and quarantine. It’s a tough time for everyone out there! We get it!!!
