CeeLo Green is doing everything he can to clear his name.
Back in 2014, CeeLo racked up a felony charge for sharing ecstasy with a female friend back in 2014. A judge ordered the singer to undergo 360 hours of community service at the MusiCares Foundation, be on probation for three years, and have 52 private AA meetings with a therapist.
While the punishment might seem intense for the crime, it’s actually pretty light considering Green was originally accused of sexual assault in connection with the case. If C.G. had been accused of the offense, things would have ended up a lot worse.

Now CeeLo’s lawyer is challenging a judge to get his client off probation early. Essentially, the hit maker wants “informal probation” which means he doesn’t have to check in with his officer.
According to the legal rep, the 41-year-old has peed clean urine in 10 drug and alcohol tests while attending all 52 AA meetings the court ordered. Mr. Green also got top marks from his therapist.
So, did the Georgia native get what he wanted?
Luckily for CeeLo, the judge APPROVED the modification.
