A divorce can be messy, but Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum are keeping things as normal as possible for the sake of their daughter, Everly.
In new court documents obtained by The Blast, Channing documents how the five-year-old has adjusted to the new schedule of living in two homes, what she and her dad like doing together, and their current coparenting schedule.

The Magic Mike star says he believes that their daughter is doing well living between two homes:

“In my opinion and experience, Everly has appeared to adjust to our separation and living in two homes exceptionally well. I believe that she will thrive even more with structure and consistency because she is happy and more relaxed when she knows a plan.”

While the parents are still in the process of mediating their divorce, these custody documents propose that Tatum have custody on Mondays and Tuesdays, Dewan on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with alternating weekends and shared holiday time.
Channing also went into detail to explain what he’s done to ease the transition for his daughter, including decorating her new room:

“[I] decorated Everly’s room very girly in a fairytale and fantasy theme (i.e. Alice and Wonderland), with pictures of Everly with both [Jenna] and me on trips. [I] put time and thought into making Everly’s room, as well as an outdoor art space at the house, as comfortable as possible for her to facilitate the transitions. [Everly] has learned about different artists, such as Jackson Pollock, and we try to replicate his work as well as the work of other artists.”

The documents also went into detail about what the poppa and his daughter like to do during their time together, including playing Candyland, which she wins “approximately 80% of the time,” watching America Ninja Warrior, and playing on obstacle courses set up in his backyard. Cuteness!!
It’s awesome to see that they’re putting her first. There are some other parents who should take a note!
